South Jakarta Plans to Develop Ecotourism on Ciliwung River

We are searching for potential spots that can be developed to be ecotourism destinations along Ciliwung River

South Jakarta Tourism and Culture Sub-department (Sudinparbud) walks along Ciliwung River starts from Jl. MT Haryono, Pancoran Sub-district to find a good spot that can be developed into ecotourism area.

South Jakarta Sudinparbud Head, Imron mentioned that his side will cooperate with Masyarakat Peduli Ciliwung (Mat Peci) community to develop ecotourism in Ciliwung River. This ecotourism is planned to prioritize conservation aspect, local residents empowerment in social culture and economy aspects, and education aspect.

Ciliwung River Cleaned to Commemorate Earth Day 2019

"We are searching for potential spots that can be developed to be ecotourism destinations along Ciliwung River," he said, on Wednesday (4/24).

For information, Mat Peci community together with Srengseng Sawah residents who live near Ciliwung River have cleaned Ciliwung Riverbank and planted Jakarta's endemic trees for conservation and greening the area.
